XUXIN CGT-CO2000 & CGT-H2100 Gas Detectors Deployed in 40 Sets of European Standard 5MWh Energy Storage Projects in Mongolia

2026-10-30

Project Overview

Mongolia features a harsh alpine climate with extremely low temperatures in winter and large temperature differences throughout the year. Energy storage cabins in this region operate under severe working conditions including ultra-low temperature down to -40℃ and high humidity. Adopting strict European standards, the project imposes stringent requirements on the explosion-proof performance, certification compliance and low-temperature stability of gas detection equipment.

Gas Detectors

This project covers 40 sets of 5MWh energy storage systems, equipped with Xuxin CGT-CO2000 Carbon Monoxide Detectors and CGT-H2100 Hydrogen Gas Detectors. The dual-gas monitoring system builds a comprehensive early warning mechanism for thermal runaway in energy storage cabins, real-timely monitoring characteristic gases (CO and H₂) generated by battery abnormalities. It supports multi-level alarm and signal linkage, effectively safeguarding the safe and stable operation of the energy storage power station.

Solution Highlights

To target potential thermal runaway risks of lithium batteries, the project adopts a professional hydrogen + carbon monoxide dual-gas combined monitoring solution. The CGT-H2100 detector accurately monitors hydrogen leakage risks, while the CGT-CO2000 captures early CO signals from battery thermal runaway. The dual-monitoring mode complements each other and greatly improves the accuracy and timeliness of early fire risk identification.

All deployed products hold complete international certifications including ATEX, IECEX, CE and RoHS, fully complying with European standard access requirements for energy storage projects. Equipped with a wide temperature range design, the detectors maintain stable and reliable operation in Mongolia’s extreme cold and high-humidity environments, adapting to harsh outdoor and cabin working conditions.
